Dubai Accelerates Mobility Vision: Umm Suqeim Upgrade Part of Jumeirah-Al Wasl-Al Safa Mega Plan

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a major upgrade to Umm Suqeim Street, aiming to reduce travel time between Jumeirah Street and Al Khail Road from 20 minutes to just six. The project will increase the road’s capacity to 16,000 vehicles per hour and includes the construction of four bridges and three tunnels spanning a total of 4,100 meters.

This development is part of a broader initiative to enhance connectivity across key transport corridors, including Sheikh Zayed Road and Emirates Road. The project will also feature dedicated cycling tracks, pedestrian walkways, and vibrant urban spaces, benefiting over two million residents in areas like Al Barsha, Al Quoz, and Umm Suqeim.
