Dubai Erases Records with 8.68 Million Visitors in Jan–May 2025
Dubai welcomed an impressive 8.68 million international tourists from January to May 2025, marking a 7% increase over the 8.12 million recorded in the same period last year, according to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) “Tourism Performance Report”. May alone contributed 1.53 million visitors, fueling the momentum following a record-breaking 18.72 million visits in 2024—Dubai’s second straight year of consecutive growth .
Western Europe Leads; Hotel Metrics Improve Strongly
Western Europe remained Dubai’s top source market, contributing approximately 1.92 million tourists (22%), while Russia & CIS/Eastern Europe (16%), South Asia (14%), and the GCC (15%) followed closely. The emirate’s hotel sector also strengthened: as of May, there were 825 hotels with 153,356 rooms, an average occupancy of 83%, 19.09 million room-nights (+4%), an ADR of AED 620 (+5%), and RevPAR at AED 513 (+7%)
