Traveling over water at speeds comparable to a helicopter, yet at a cost lower than a taxi fare—that’s the vision of a start-up CEO aiming to introduce a groundbreaking vehicle to the UAE’s transportation network.
Named Seaglider, this all-electric wing-in-ground-effect craft operates dock-to-dock along over-water routes, staying within a wingspan of the water’s surface. It merges the speed of an aircraft with the affordability and accessibility of a boat, explained Billy Thalheimer, founder and CEO of Regent Craft, during the World Governments Summit in Dubai on Tuesday.
